Job Title: Community Development Coordinator

The ideal candidate will work closely with a team to ensure participation of local households in project implementation phases.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Recruiting and developing community youth groups for environmental projects
  • Identifying and recruiting youth participants according to the role profile through various strategies
  • Facilitating the formation of community groups through elections
  • Implementing community group activities through project planning approaches
  • Assisting group leadership in developing work plans and projects
  • Resolving disputes and conflicts between individuals and within community groups
  • Providing regular reporting inputs to the monitoring officer as per standard formats
  • Offering mentoring support to project teams under the community groups
  • Reporting and Linkages
  • Assisting the project manager in developing a clear work plan for project implementation
  • Supporting coordinators in implementing training calendars and events
  • Capturing success stories and lessons learned during implementation
  • Supporting the monitoring officer in preparing monthly and quarterly reports
Skill Requirements:
  • Pasisonate about working with communities and youth
  • Basic knowledge of climate change is an advantage
  • Friendly and approachable attitude
  • Fluency in the local language; basic English skills are preferred
  • Willingness to travel within the community and conduct fieldwork
