Job Description

The role of a Senior Engineer - Microsoft Dynamics 365 is to design, develop and support enhancements and custom solutions across D365 Finance and Operations modules using X++, .NET and related Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing and customizing solutions, implementing form customizations, integrations, batch jobs, workflows and SSRS reports, translating functional requirements into technical specifications and development tasks, working closely with Functional Consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, performing unit testing, debugging and performance tuning, providing technical support, issue resolution and production bug fixes for existing systems, participating in code reviews, enforcing DevOps practices and contributing to continuous improvement of code quality, collaborating with project managers, QA engineers and other developers throughout the project lifecycle, developing and maintaining technical documentation including architecture and code design documents, and providing guidance to junior developers as needed and contributing to building best practices within the team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and customize solutions using X++, .NET and MS SQL Server for Dynamics 365 F&O.
  • Implement form customizations, integrations, batch jobs, workflows and SSRS reports.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and development tasks.
  • Work closely with Functional Consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging and performance tuning.
  • Provide technical support, issue resolution and production bug fixes for existing systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, enforce DevOps practices and contribute to continuous improvement of code quality.
