Hospital Food Preparation Specialist

As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food for patients and staff at the hospital.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will ensure that all meals meet set standards for quality, texture, and flavor. This includes cooking food according to standardized recipes and monitoring kitchen equipment for safe usage.
- Prepare patient and non-patient meals in accordance with established menus and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and cooking equipment
- Report any food safety concerns or issues to relevant authorities
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A matriculation or equivalent qualification, preferably with a certificate in cookery from a recognized institution
- At least four years of relevant experience in the healthcare, hospitality, airline, or restaurant industries
- Knowledge of menu planning, recipe preparation, and quantity cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
- Ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment effectively
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- A respectful attitude towards colleagues and supervisors
- Ability to work effectively in teams and adapt to shift work
