Enterprise IT Architect Role

Seeking a seasoned IT architect with expertise in service management to craft and optimize Jira Service Management solutions for large-scale clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and configure ITSM workflows within Jira Service Management (JSM) aligned with business needs and ITIL standards.
  • Translate client requirements into scalable and maintainable JSM solutions, focusing on seamless integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Lead the configuration of service request catalogs, SLAs, automation rules, queues, and custom fields to ensure efficient workflow execution.
  • Integrate Jira with CMDB, monitoring tools, Confluence, identity systems, and other relevant platforms to enhance overall system functionality.
  • Perform thorough health checks, conduct maturity assessments, and identify areas for improvement to propose data-driven solutions.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during Jira-related discussions with technical teams, stakeholders, and business users, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and auditability requirements, maintaining high standards across all projects.
  • Develop comprehensive technical and functional documentation, including solution architecture diagrams to facilitate knowledge sharing and future scalability.
  • Provide training and mentorship to admin teams and end-users on JSM features and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Support ongoing service improvement initiatives through performance monitoring and analytics, driving data-informed decisions to propel business success.
  • Demonstrate ability to tailor effective solutions to meet diverse business needs, leveraging industry trends and emerging technologies where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Jira administration/architecture, with at least 2 years focused on Jira Service Management (JSM).
  • Deep understanding of ITSM processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, Request Fulfillment, Knowledge Management.
  • Experience implementing and customizing workflows, automation, and SLA configurations in Jira.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace add-ons such as Insight Asset Management, ScriptRunner, Tempo, etc.
  • Proficiency with Jira REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations.
  • Atlassian certifications ACP-620, ACP-120, etc. are highly valued.
Nice to Have:
  • Hands-on experience with Confluence, Bitbucket, or Opsgenie.
  • Exposure to ISO 20000, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks.
  • Experience working with cloud Jira Cloud and on-premises Jira environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
