Financial Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to analyze data to inform business decisions.

  • Job Description:

  • The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This will involve working closely with the Finance Lead to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices.

  • The Financial Data Analyst will also be responsible for reconciling AR aging reports and performing regular reconciliations of AR-related accounts, preparing customer invoices and coordinating with customers to ensure accuracy and facilitate the collection of outstanding invoices, managing all relevant documentation related to customers and vendors, and coordinating with the sales tax team to ensure compliance with tax requirements.

  • In addition, the Financial Data Analyst will assist in preparing and reconciling internal monthly financial statements, perform bank and account reconciliations, prepare adjustments, and conduct analytical reviews and variance analyses, reconcile AP and AR subledgers to the general ledger, update monthly accruals and prepaid schedules, and prepare journal entries for the month-end close.

  • The Financial Data Analyst will also process accounts payable by reviewing invoices, ensuring correct coding, and posting them into the accounting system, identify intercompany differences and communicate findings to the local accounting team, assist in preparing monthly revenue variance analyses and commentary, and undertake special projects and provide ad hoc analyses as needed.

  • Requirements:

  • To be successful in this role, you will need to have proven bookkeeping/accounting experience, a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles, the ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records, data entry skills along with a knack for numbers, hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software, proficiency in English and in MS Excel, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • You will also need to hold a finalist or part-qualified professional qualification (ACCA/ICAP or similar), a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
