Job Summary:

A highly skilled infrastructure planning manager is required to work on the design and planning of data center components including HVAC units, power systems, fire suppression systems, DCIM, and switchgear.

  • This role involves overseeing the planning and design of all data center-related components for new and expansion requirements.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in RFP design including technical specifications, BOQ, SLA, and contract documents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing AutoCAD design layouts and SLD preparations
  • Complete infrastructure node planning of nationwide core locations/data centers
  • Designing, planning, and tracking of related projects including HVAC systems, power systems (DC/AC), standby generators, HT/LT switchgear, transformers, battery banks, fire suppression systems, DCIM systems
  • RFP preparation and product evaluation related to infrastructure components
  • Conducting periodic analysis of data center sites in terms of space utilization, HVAC capacity, and power capacity to ensure necessary expansions are proposed and carried out
  • Coordinating with other departments and vendors for timely implementation of infrastructure works/projects
  • Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path
  • Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications/electrical from a reputable institute
  • Additional qualification of master's degree and data center certifications like CDCS, CTDC, CTIA would be an added advantage
  • At least 6+ years of work experience with 3+ years of infrastructure component design experience in data centers
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, good vendor management skills, ability to execute while multi-tasking, result-oriented, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
  • Expertise in data center component design, power calculations, and SLDs preparation, strong background in data center component design
