Key Roles and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Carrier Payables Representative to manage the timely and accurate payment of carrier invoices.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal account managers and external carrier partners to reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure smooth financial operations.

The ideal candidate will gain operational insights on the floor before transitioning to the payables team.

  • Process and reconcile carrier invoices against carrier statements to ensure payment accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in partnership with internal teams and carrier contacts
  • Manage aging reports, track outstanding payments, and prioritize timely resolutions
  • Set up new carrier accounts, collect necessary payment information, and maintain precise records
  • Monitor monthly billing cycles, conduct reconciliations, and support month-end close activities
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with carrier partners to support issue resolution and communication
  • Assist in process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce manual errors
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within finance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and payment processing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with accounting systems
  • Analytical skills to manage discrepancies and reconcile accounts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for carrier and team collaboration
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

This role requires a high level of organizational skills, adaptability, and problem-solving ability. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with carriers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
