Job Overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in managing the company's accounts payable process, efficiently handling vendor invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate records using software like NetSuite and Bill.com.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, coding, and approval workflows;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, including collection of information for new vendor setup;
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills and payroll while adhering to departmental procedures;
  • Process manual check requests and wires, as well as vendor payments through vendor portals;
  • Investigate and resolve problems with vendor invoicing, manage returned payments, and collect update information from vendors;
  • Assist in the 1099 process, collecting W-9's, ensuring name on W-9 matches IRS, and verifying correct coding;
  • Perform accounting duties such as GL account maintenance, recording journal entries for accruals, and reconciling AP accounts during month-end close;
  • Other projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an accounts payable role;
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required;
  • Competency with productivity systems, including NetSuite, Bill.com, Excel;
  • Basic data entry skills;
  • Comfortable with math and calculations;
  • Good listening and communication skills;
  • Attention to detail.
