Financial Operations Associate

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate transaction posting, reconciliations, and compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Record and post daily financial transactions in a reliable system, including accounts receivable, payable, bank, cash, and journal entries.
- Maintain complete and valid documentation for all entries to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Prepare documents for payments, transfers, and deposits, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Perform monthly bank, vendor, customer, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing monthly closing entries, accruals, and schedules to provide a clear picture of the company's financial position.
- Support the generation of internal financial reports for management to inform decision-making.
- Compile and maintain data for sales tax and withholding tax submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor vendor tax compliance and maintain relevant documentation to prevent any potential issues.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure timely submission of returns to avoid penalties and fines.
- Liaise with vendors for invoice follow-ups, payment coordination, and tax queries to ensure smooth communication and resolution.
- Communicate with banks for routine transactions and documentation to facilitate efficient processing.
- Assist in preparing responses to external parties such as auditors and service providers to address any inquiries or concerns.
- Work with internal teams for invoice approvals, expense claims, and data collection to ensure seamless integration and effective workflow.
- Assist in petty cash management and staff reimbursement processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Uphold company policies and internal control procedures to maintain a culture of integrity and compliance.
- ACCA/CA/ICMA (Finalist) qualification.
- 0-1 year experience in a finance/accounting role, with prior internship or exposure to a reliable system a plus.
- Affinity for accuracy, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel, effective communication skills, basic knowledge of tax/accounting principles, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
