Job Overview

The role of an Assistant Manager in our steel manufacturing division encompasses the maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, encompassing hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves. This includes Hydraulic Axial Piston Pump, Vain Pump, Bent Axis Pump, Gear Pump, and hydraulic motors. Additionally, the role involves the upkeep and servicing of hydraulic valves, such as Servo Proportional Valve, Proportional valve, Directional Control Valve, Pressure Reducing Valve, and Pneumatic control valve.

This position necessitates a thorough understanding of technical documents like Process Data Sheets (PDS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P & I D), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), General Arrangement (GA) Drawings & Detail Engineering to ensure accurate maintenance and repairs are performed.

The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for planning and executing mechanical and hydraulic system improvements across various steel manufacturing divisions. Furthermore, they will develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to guarantee full preventative maintenance is carried out effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and comprehend hydraulic drawings and symbols.
  • Proficiency in SAP maintenance module is desired.
  • Skilled in dismantling cylinder jacks.
Requirements and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and leadership abilities. They must be proactive, flexible, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. A background in mechanical or hydraulic engineering would be advantageous.
