Job Title: Instrumentation Specialist

Job Description:

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with project leads, contractors, clients, and vendors with minimal supervision for the execution of instrumentation engineering activities.

  • Lead projects and be responsible for scope, schedule, and cost on small to medium-sized instrumentation projects ensuring methodical and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Evaluate and follow up on scheduled activities to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Participate in studies, conceptual designs, and estimate preparation as required.
  • Develop and create instrumentation engineering design documents and drawings such as specifications and installation guidelines for process instruments and control systems ensuring compliance with established engineering standards.
  • Conduct technical reviews with vendor/contractor instrumentation in detail design to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes.
  • Analyze and review P&IDs, layouts, and other key documents with due consideration of safety, operability, simplicity.
  • E nsure all project work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices meets all requirements of the contract specification, project scope, and technical brief.
  • Validate engineering data sheets, specifications, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews, and approvals.
  • Collaborate with other engineering discipline teams and responsible for the work progress and quality of deliverables within the discipline area.
  • Analyze and interpret project-related documents (instrument, electrical, mechanical, piping, etc.) to accurately quantify controls and instrumentation scope items provided in project work scope requirement.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering (B Eng).
  • Minimum seven years of working experience in instrumentation design and project deliveries.
  • Proficient in industry codes and standards i.e. API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a team player, and able to work with all levels of management and staff.
