About the Role

This senior financial role is responsible for preparing detailed financial statements, including quarterly and annual reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including notes and supporting documentation for conventional and takaful business operations.
  • Management Accountancy: Finalize complex schedules related to investment, solvency, fixed assets, intra-company settlements, SECP returns, unclaimed dividends, due to due from company, reinsurance company, leasing, premiums, claims, and commissions.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and implement internal controls to ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust books of accounts to maintain accuracy and reliability.
  • Financial Oversight: Supervise routine financial tasks in ongoing department operations, monitoring and designing controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Tax Compliance: Review and check all receipts, payments, adjustments, income tax returns, sales tax returns, and bank reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Corporate Tax Returns: Prepare and finalize corporate tax returns, coordinating with tax advisors for submission.
  • IFRS 17 Implementation: Implement and ensure compliance with IFRS 17 accounting standards across the organization.
  • Actuarial and Financial Modelling: Support the development and maintenance of actuarial and financial models, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
