Optimize Production Operations

Experienced Production Engineer required to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations within a board line division.

This role demands hands-on experience in production environments, sound knowledge of production techniques, and a keen ability to manage both resources and timelines effectively.

  • Supervise daily production operations on the board line floor for efficiency and quality adherence.
  • Implement and monitor production plans based on targets, resource availability, and customer demands.
  • Collaborate with planning and maintenance teams to align schedules and reduce downtime.
  • Manage workforce allocation, shift planning, and ensure effective labor utilization.
  • Analyze production metrics (output, rejection rates, efficiency) and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Enforce safety protocols and practices within the work area.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and participate in lean/kaizen activities.
  • Maintain production documentation, logs, and reports for operational transparency and audits.
  • Coordinate with quality and procurement teams for timely material availability and quality compliance.
Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering is essential.

Experience: 4-5 years of relevant experience in production operations, preferably in wood, furniture, or related manufacturing industries.

Skills: Strong knowledge of production processes, board material handling, and production planning is necessary. Proven ability in labor supervision, manpower planning, and conflict resolution is also required. Working knowledge of production-related software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an asset. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills are crucial. Good interpersonal and communication abilities are expected.
