Job Title: Network Infrastructure Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage, configure and monitor Sophos Firewalls (XG, XGS series) for optimal network security.
  2. Administer and troubleshoot Ruckus WiFi networks (SmartZone, Unleashed, and Cloud) to ensure seamless connectivity.
  3. Perform routine tasks related to Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP to maintain server stability.
  4. Provide Level 2 support for network, server and security-related incidents to minimize downtime.
  5. Conduct firewall policy updates, firmware upgrades, VPN setup and monitoring to enhance network resilience.
  6. Monitor network traffic and performance, optimize throughput and security to prevent potential threats.
  7. Handle Wi-Fi SSID setups, guest portals, VLAN tagging and access point provisioning to provide secure wireless access.
  8. Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory to maintain efficient resource allocation.
  9. Collaborate with Level 1 and Level 3 teams to resolve escalated issues through effective communication.
  10. Create and maintain documentation for configurations, procedures and infrastructure to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  11. Participate in audits and compliance efforts related to IT infrastructure to ensure regulatory adherence.

Required Skills & Experience:
  1. At least 3 years of experience in IT support or network administration with a strong focus on infrastructure management.
  2. Proficient in Sophos XG/XGS Firewalls, including policies, NAT, IPS, VPNs to ensure robust network security.
  3. Hands-on experience with Ruckus WiFi systems – access point deployment, SmartZone controller management to deliver high-quality wireless services.
  4. Strong proficiency in Windows Server administration – Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP to maintain server stability and efficiency.
  5. Good understanding of LAN/WAN concepts, TCP/IP, VLANs and routing protocols to design and implement scalable networks.
  6. Experience with system monitoring tools and ticketing systems to streamline incident management.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  8. Strong communication and documentation abilities to facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
