Procurement Category Specialist

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for category groups at the regional level, aligning with procurement strategies determined by corporate. Support and develop country resource capabilities on source-to-pay tools to optimize supplier relationships and improve supply chain efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive implementation of strategies for managed commodities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute sourcing events within provided spend limits to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions, achieving pipeline of value targets identified annually.
  • Analyze full business requirements to influence internal stakeholders, driving short-term and long-term productivity improvements and reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with all relevant business policies and standards of practice.
  • Create preferred supplier lists for managed categories, considering spend, relationship tenure, and pricing trends to maximize value.
  • Utilize reporting and analytics to inform key strategies and decisions for category groups.
  • Maintain industry awareness and adapt to evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues, minimize risks, protect supply continuity, and exploit emerging opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends for raw materials to recommend pre-buying or hedging options to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Identify and develop alternative suppliers aligned with group procurement strategy, create contingency plans, and work with business units to ensure smooth supplier transitions.
  • Evaluate suppliers' sustainability performance and adherence to SGP standards.
Candidate Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement
