Product Category Leader

Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished Product Category Leader to spearhead the management of a product category. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in consumer needs understanding and retail environment knowledge. They must possess a commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles.

The key objective is to increase sales and profitability to drive sustainable growth. A skilled category leader will be responsible for pricing, promotion, and vendor relationships to maximize consumer appeal.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establish connections with local distributors and suppliers.
  • Manage categories, attributes sets, and attributes.
  • Update featured products.
  • Oversee data entry specialists to ensure they are occupied with product entry.
  • Foster strong relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
  • Place orders to guarantee product availability that meets consumer demands.
  • Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
  • Develop long-term development strategies for product categories.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of computer and consumer electronics products.
  • Excellent English writing skills.
  • Proven experience as a category manager or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles.
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • An analytical mind with strategic ability.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
