About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Software Developer with expertise in backend systems and DevOps practices to join our team. This is a hands-on role that involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js or similar technologies.

You will work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to drive technical excellence across backend services and infrastructure automation. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building resilient backend systems and owning the end-to-end delivery pipeline - from code to cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js or similar technologies.
  • Owning the infrastructure and DevOps lifecycle using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform/Bicep, and ARM templates.
  • Architecting and managing cloud-native deployments on Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure Functions, App Services, Event Bridge, Azure Storage, and Amazon Dynamo DB.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment strategies across multiple environments.
  • Driving monitoring, logging, and observability best practices using tools like Datadog, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights.
  • Ensuring systems are secure, highly available, and cost-optimized by following best practices in cloud security and performance.
  • Leading architectural discussions, technical designs, and code reviews with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers, sharing best practices in backend development and DevOps.
  • Ensuring secure, testable, and maintainable code with strong documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in backend engineering with strong programming skills in Node.js, .NET, or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and automated testing.
  • Deep experience with Azure cloud services, particularly in deploying and managing microservices, serverless, and container-based architectures.
  • Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Strong knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, or Kafka).
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives.
