Corporate law specialists are in high demand to help businesses navigate complex regulatory environments.

We seek an experienced Corporate Lawyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with specific expertise in non-banking financial services (NBFCs).

  • Provide expert legal advice on all matters related to corporate law, particularly those involving NBFCs.
  • Ensure full compliance with SECP, SBP, and FBR regulations governing non-banking financial companies in Pakistan.
  • Advise on matters related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) laws, as well as the Companies Act 2017.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and regulatory matters.
  • Stay updated on the latest legal developments and advise management accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all business practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in managing legal risks and providing solutions to mitigate those risks.
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Legal Advice - Provide expert legal advice on all matters related to corporate law, particularly those involving NBFCs.
  2. Compliance - Ensure full compliance with SECP, SBP, and FBR regulations governing non-banking financial companies in Pakistan.
  3. Regulatory Matters - Advise on matters related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) laws, as well as the Companies Act 2017.
  4. Contract Management - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  5. Representation - Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and regulatory matters.
  6. Knowledge Updates - Stay updated on the latest legal developments and advise management accordingly.
  7. Team Collaboration - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all business practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  8. Risk Management - Assist in managing legal risks and providing solutions to mitigate those risks.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • LLB or equivalent from an HEC-recognized university.
  • A higher qualification, such as an LLM in corporate or financial law, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
