Job Title: Executive Legal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as an Executive Legal. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on matters related to corporate governance, commercial transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance. They will also be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts, property leases, and related agreements to protect the company's legal and commercial interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, property leases, and related agreements;Providing legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on corporate governance, commercial transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance;Ensuring internal compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and governance guidelines;Coordinating with external regulators and stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance;Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and advising internal teams on their implications for contractual and corporate matters;Supporting the Head of Department and Company Secretary on matters of corporate governance, secretarial compliance, and evolving regulatory requirements;Facilitating informed decision-making by reviewing corporate documents, legal authorizations, and delegated authorities in alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies;

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in corporate law, contract management, and regulatory compliance. You should have excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external regulators. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate degree in Law (LLM) or related field;
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in corporate legal affairs, contract management, and company secretarial functions;
  • Proven track record in advising on corporate governance matters, managing commercial contracts, and ensuring compliance with applicable legal, competition, and regulatory frameworks;
  • Experience within the telecommunications sector or other highly regulated industries;
  • Leadership in team supervision, management, and mentorship;
  • Strong knowledge of local and international corporate and commercial laws;
  • Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts;
  • Excellent legal research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities;
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with creative decision-making capabilities;
  • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and ethical standards;
  • Good business acumen with the ability to align legal advice to commercial objectives;
  • Skilled in relationship building and management across diverse teams and external parties;
  • Exploratory mindset coupled with strong execution skills to drive results;
