Senior Corrosion Control Specialist

This position involves coordinating with government departments and agencies to obtain necessary permissions for Corrosion Control jobs.
Maintenance and rectification of installed Corrosion Control stations according to specified standards is also required.
Additionally, the role requires applying coating and wrapping to pipelines to optimize Corrosion Control operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with relevant government departments and agencies to obtain necessary permissions for Corrosion Control jobs.
- Perform maintenance and rectification of installed Corrosion Control stations according to specified standards.
- Apply coating and wrapping to pipelines to optimize Corrosion Control operations.
- Participate in conducting field tests, including Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM), Close Interval Potential Survey (CIPS), structure potential, Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG), and soil resistivity.
- Develop recoating/rectification plans based on test results.
- Assist in survey, design, and data collection.
- Presentation of charts and tables to management.
- Creation of Corrosion Control designs, including anode type, quantity, location, and other design features.
- Installation of sacrificial anode systems for pipeline protection against corrosion and post-installation surveys.
- Implementation of policies and procedures regarding asset corrosion control and undertaking required work.
- Preparation of survey reports and findings highlighting coating-related deterioration.
- Revalidation of Pipeline Integrity Assessment and identification of vulnerable sections.
- Coordination of Root-Cause-Analysis (RCA) and Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments and proposal of replacement plans for pressure equipment and pipeline.
- Initiation of procurement of necessary materials and equipment.
- Monitoring and checking the status of coating on under construction and new pipeline projects.
The employee shall ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Framework and Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct while performing job responsibilities.
Additional tasks may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
