Job Title:

Environmental Health and Safety Team Lead

Description

The organization seeks a skilled Environmental Health and Safety Team Lead to spearhead our EHS initiatives. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of environmental health and safety principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate risk assessments and maintain records
  • Conduct regular site visits to enforce preventative measures
  • Advise on various safety-related topics, including air quality and emergency services
  • Initiate and organize OHS training for employees and contractors
  • Inspect premises and identify issues or non-conformity
  • Record and investigate incidents
  • Prepare reports on unsafe occurrences and provide statistical information
  • Manage and eradicate EHS operational risks and hazards
  • Develop and submit compliance evaluation check sheets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or B-Tech (4-years) preferred
  • EHS Certifications (IOSH, NEBOSH) mandatory
  • First Aid, firefighting, and construction safety training desirable
  • 3-4 years of experience as an EHS Officer/Supervisor in the construction industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Excellent knowledge of hazardous materials and practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
