We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements and preparing accurate cost estimates that drive successful project execution. This key contributor in the preconstruction phase will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that bids are competitive, precise, and aligned with company standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for various types of construction projects.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather necessary project information and clarify scope of work.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and accuracy.
  • Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to assess site conditions and potential project challenges.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, unit price libraries, and estimation tools in line with current market trends.
  • Analyze historical data and past project performances to refine estimating processes and improve cost accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project teams during post-award phases to support budgeting, procurement, and cost tracking.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a construction estimating role. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction specifications.
