Job Description

The Procurement and Supply Chain Expert will play a vital role in the development of integrated district health action plans. The primary objectives of this position are to strengthen the evidence-based decision-making process, improve the implementation of universal health coverage, and enhance the management and organizational systems within the health sector.

  • Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Contribute to the development of costing and budget plans, ensuring activity-based and program-based budgeting tied to prioritized interventions.
  • Support the design of comprehensive financial and operational plans, including detailed budget tables, Gantt charts, and coordination calendars.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review and finalize the integrated DAP for health.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and logistics within health systems.
  • Skilled in designing and implementing efficient procurement strategies that ensure timely availability of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Proficient in inventory management, demand forecasting, and distribution planning to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, contract management, and vendor relations in the health sector.
