Job Description

As an Afghan Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting traditional Afghan dishes in a home-based kitchen environment.

Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including recipe creation and meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Cook Authentic Afghan Cuisine: Prepare a variety of traditional Afghan dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, ensuring authenticity and high quality.
  • Menu Development: Assist in developing and refining the menu, incorporating classic recipes and innovative ideas.
  • Ingredient Management: Oversee the selection, preparation, and storage of ingredients to ensure freshness and proper handling.
  • Kitchen Management: Manage kitchen operations efficiently within a home setting, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
  • Customer Interaction: Handle customer feedback professionally and make necessary adjustments to meet their expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Afghan Cuisine: In-depth knowledge and experience in preparing traditional Afghan dishes.
  • Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a similar role or within a home-based kitchen environment.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Ability to create and adapt recipes while maintaining traditional flavors.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a home-based setting and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator with a professional approach to customer service.
  • Education & Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in Afghan cuisine.
