A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is required to excel as an HR Manager.
The successful candidate will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources department, including hiring, interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, while enforcing company policies and practices.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff members within the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with established policies.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement the organization's human resource strategy, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and succession planning.
- Offer guidance and support to HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex questions and issues arise.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants for managerial, exempt, and professional roles.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to attract top talent.
- Design learning and development programs to provide internal growth opportunities for employees.
- Conduct employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in human resources and talent management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- In-depth knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Familiarity with HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly desirable.
