Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Director to oversee construction projects from start to finish in an efficient and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
  • Review project scope, schedule deliverables, and estimate costs to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards on-site and off-site.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
  • Select tools, materials, and equipment and track inventory to maintain efficiency.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.
  • Guarantee quality construction standards and proper techniques throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on project oversight.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, methods, and best practices.
  • Expert understanding of building products, construction details, and relevant rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages to enhance productivity.
  • Able to plan and visualize the project's 'big picture' and make informed decisions accordingly.
  • Skilled in conflict and crisis management to resolve issues effectively.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills to motivate and guide team members.
  • Excellent time and project management skills to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
