Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager - Textile and Garment Industry

  • Oversee the quality of products being produced and delivered to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage country-wide factory site inspections and audits on behalf of customers for their delivering products and processes that meet customer specifications anchored in the highest quality standards and global compliance requirements.
  • Manage an experienced team of inspectors to conduct quality inspections across various product stages, including onsite tracking of continuous and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure a consistent and effective approach in our processes toward achieving product quality and quality performance.
  • Work on a cross-functional team of experts responsible for the quality control, assurance, and compliance of raw materials and finished goods.
  • This role will grow to work in close collaboration with Sourcing and Lab services teams to deliver quality and compliant products.

Core Inspection and Audit Activities:

  • Carry out sample inspections and checks throughout the production cycle, from incoming material to delivery of products.
  • Ensure products meet brand and quality standards, verifying requirements early, and identifying potential issues.
  • Perform routine functional tests onsite.
  • Conduct final inspections and statistical audits to ensure all shipments meet customer brand quality standards.
  • Escalate quality issues and failed audits to the customer in advance of their shipment loading.
  • Complete reports for each stage of inspection and review findings with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and track work in progress, escalating capacity issues and identifying inspection peaks to customer QPM.
  • Support continuous improvement and identify potential vendor social labor issues.
  • Carry out inline and end-of-line audits.
  • Follow up with vendor quality personnel on corrective actions (CAPA).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of QA/QC experience in the Textile and Garment industry.
  • 3+ years of QA/QC manager experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, documentation, and report writing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric, garment sewing, taping, gluing, and washing.
  • Excellent understanding of printing and embroidery.
  • Knowledgeable in material bonding and lamination.
  • Working experience following a production and shipping schedule.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Proactive in identifying root causes of issues and developing solutions.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • Effectively balances autonomy and collaboration.
  • Inspires breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
