Job Title: Logistics Branch Manager

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a dynamic branch organizational chart, ensuring flexibility and growth.
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive business strategies for the branch, regularly reviewing and updating them as needed.
  • Monitor and enhance key departmental productivity indicators, including:
    • Shipments Per Desk (SPD)
    • Revenue Per Desk (RPD)
    • Expense Per Desk (EPD)
    • Revenue Per Shipment (RPS)
    • Revenue to Expense ratio
    • Excel measurements
  • Establish a culture of compliance with regulations, internal policies, and external government requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to streamline departmental processes, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service.
  • Ensure all customer standard operating procedures are documented and up-to-date in the Desk Level Standard Operating Procedures database.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors through open communication and regular evaluations.
  • Evaluate vendors at defined intervals, focusing on areas of improvement and implementing corrective action plans when necessary.
  • Stay informed about market and industry trends through regular reading of business and trade journals and attendance at industry events.

 

Job Specifications:

Finances:

  • Prepare an annual branch budget and review it with your Country Manager or RVP.
  • Review monthly financial reports, productivity results, and goals for the branch and department.
  • Focus on improving branch cost control and ensuring effective company credit procedures.
  • Manage accounts payable to vendors, utilizing BNP, and ensure timely payment within 30 days.
  • Utilize the Top 20 Accounts report to evaluate the development of your branch client base and revenue distribution.

Sales:

  • Actively develop business for the branch through involvement in sales and retention processes and close coordination with the sales department.
  • Attend weekly branch sales meetings and facilitate manager involvement in the branch sales program.
  • Assist in creating the annual district sales plan, ensuring alignment with budget and product business plans.
  • Complete 5 Sales and/or Retention Calls per week, documenting them in relevant databases.
  • Conduct Customer Reviews with customers generating over $500 in revenue per month.
  • Provide pricing alternatives, routing solutions, and technical assistance to clients through internal sales.

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements:

  • 4+ years of industry-specific qualification (country-specific).
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven leadership attitude and background.
  • Strong market and product knowledge.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, communicate clearly, and negotiate positively.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
