Medical Transportation Specialist

The role of a Medical Transportation Specialist is crucial in ensuring the smooth movement of patients within a hospital setting. This position involves transporting patients between departments, verifying their identification to guarantee accurate treatment, and maintaining their comfort and dignity throughout the process.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport patients between radiology and other areas of the hospital according to established policies, remaining with them if necessary.
  • Verify patient identification to ensure correct treatment in the radiology department.
  • Maintain patient comfort and dignity during transportation.
  • Ensure patients are properly attired in hospital gowns before leaving the radiology department.
  • Retrieve patients' charts if required in the radiology department.
  • Provide training to new staff members during their orientation.
  • Monitor daily linen supply to guarantee its availability.
  • Coordinate the smooth transportation of supplies and consumables to other departments and off-site locations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Remain on duty after normal working hours or overnight in the department if necessary.
Requirements
  • Matriculation or intermediate education is preferred, along with one year of related experience in healthcare services.
  • Good general health, clean appearance, pleasant disposition, and ability to interact with diverse patients.
  • Proficiency in Urdu and understanding of English language.
  • Able to read and write simple notes/instructions/labels in both English and Urdu.
