Food Preparation Specialist

The Aga Khan University Hospital provides primary to secondary healthcare services through Outreach Clinics, including Clinical Laboratories and Outpatient Medical Centres. These clinics cater to children, adults, and the elderly for general health checks or specific disease consultations.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for preparing food for hospital patients, employees, students, and during special occasions. Your duties include:
- Ensuring high-quality patient and non-patient meals meet set standards
- Cooking food according to standardized recipes or as directed
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and cooking equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen areas according to set standards
The ideal candidate should have:
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification, preferably with a certificate in cookery from a recognized institution
- At least four years of relevant experience in hospital, hotel, airline, or restaurant industries
- Knowledge of menus, recipes, preparation terminologies, and quantity cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation principles
- Ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment
- Proficiency in reading and writing in Urdu and English
- A respectful attitude towards supervisors and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively in teams and willingness to work in shifts
