Logistics Operations Manager

The Senior Transport and Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the transport operations team to ensure seamless logistics management.
About the RoleThis role focuses on managing end-to-end transport requirements, maintaining standardised policies and procedures across all business units and locations. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain operations in compliance with business requirements.
- Perform regular audits to ensure compliance and provide reports.
- Lead a team in planning and executing daily activities efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Analyse KPIs to develop continuous process improvements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S and HR requirements.
Main objectives of this role include:
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient transportation management.
- Manage relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
To be successful in this position, candidates must have:
- Relevant senior management experience in the transport industry.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Relevant educational qualifications and training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of OH&S legislation.
- Advanced computer competency.
