">Better Cotton is a global not-for-profit organisation supporting the production of more equitable and sustainable cotton at farm level. We exist to catalyse the cotton farming community with partners, governments, and others to continuously drive positive impact by setting standards and facilitating the supply and demand of more sustainable cotton from farm to brand.

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support our finance and operations team in Lahore. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing employee claims, vendor payments, and tax compliance, as well as providing administrative support to the team.

- Key Responsibilities
- Employee Claims Management:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing employee claims on Expensify, ensuring that all claims are properly coded, authorised, and approved by the competent authorities.
- Tax Compliance:
The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring correct deduction of tax as per local tax regulations and maintaining all accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial transactions in a systematic order.
- Vendor Payments:
The Financial Operations Specialist will also be responsible for processing vendor payments, maintaining vendor records and database up to date, and administering and processing all Petty Cash transactions within the parameters of organisation policies and procedures.
- Other Responsibilities:
The candidate will also provide administrative support to the finance and operations team, including preparing vouchers along with all supporting documentation according to the organisation's financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 3-4 years of work experience in the development sector, with a strong understanding of financial and taxation matters.
You will also need to have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
Familiarity with ERP systems and IT literacy, including Word; Power Point; Excel; Outlook; SharePoint, would be an advantage.

Working Arrangements
The position is full-time (40 hours per week) and will be based in Lahore. Better Cotton offers flexible working, with core hours being 10 am – 4 pm.
