Job Overview:

The position involves leading a faculty to achieve strategic goals. This includes formulating plans, supervising staff, and ensuring smooth examination processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop five-year plans aligned with the university's targets.
  • Exercise control over academic and non-academic staff for effective functioning.
  • Prepare annual budgets in consultation with relevant departments.
  • Facilitate appointments and promotions of faculty members.
  • Ensure supervision of examination arrangements.
  • Assign responsibilities to teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Review and approve course offerings and timetables.
  • Allocate additional responsibilities to employees.
  • Chair committees and participate in departmental governance.
  • Lead internal and external networks to foster collaboration.
  • Promote and market departmental work nationally and internationally.
  • Exercise academic leadership for subject area activities.
  • Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.
  • Lead high-impact factor research projects.
  • Maintain accreditation compliance and ensure regulatory requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree from a recognized institution.
  • Proven academic achievement through publications, research, and teaching experience.
  • Leadership experience in academic administration or senior roles within an educational institution (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong background in teaching, research, and mentoring students and faculty members.
  • Ability to manage financial resources effectively.
  • Strategic leadership skills to set and execute long-term academic goals.
  • Academic management skills to oversee departments and promote research.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, faculty, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and networking skills to build partnerships with other universities and institutions.
