Clinical Dietitian Job Description

Employer seeks a skilled Clinical Dietitian to develop and implement dietary-care plans, provide nutritional counseling, and assess patients' nutritional needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be passionate about promoting healthy eating habits.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalized dietary-care plans for patients with various health conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs, including evaluating their diet restrictions and current health plans.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to determine the best course of action for each patient.
  • Counsel patients on basic nutrition principles, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
  • Monitor food service operations to ensure compliance with nutritional, safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate recipe development and standardization, and develop new menus for independent food service operations.
  • Develop policies for food service or nutritional programs to promote health and disease prevention.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
  • Proven experience in clinical dietetics, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
