Responsibilities
You will be responsible to:
ensure clinical round of all patients admitted with genetic and metabolic disorders admitted to paediatric inpatient unitswork as a resource person for patients and their families as well as the metabolic / genetic cliniciansactively participate in imparting education to patients and their familiesmake rounds with consultants and participates in family sessionsarrange individual and group teachings regarding the long term management issues.coordinate and organizes storage of metabolic and genetic samples for patients and familiescoordinate with clinical lab for shipment of metabolic and gentic samples to overseas labsmaintain service, shipment, lab results and specialized milk products/ metabolic medicines log booksassist metabolic / genetic clinicians in outpatient areas in performing clinics and take detailed patient and family history.Requirements
You should have:
a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school and a valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
minimum two years of experience as a clinical nurse or equivalent
certification in Basic Life Support, safe medication administration, I/V cannulation, NRP, ECG interpretation and aseptic techniques
sound knowledge and skills of problem-solving and crisis management.excellent interpersonal, particularly communication skills and ability to present complex ideas in simpler and meaningful formwillingness to do shifts (morning, evening and night).Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
