The Role of an Inbound Freight Forwarding Director
About the JobWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to fill the role of an Inbound Freight Forwarding Director. This position requires a deep understanding of international shipping logistics, cost analysis, and route setup.
Key Responsibilities- Establish a forwarding operation plan and set up a team to execute freight forwarding services
- Manage all tasks related to freight forwarding, including tracking, drayage management, settlement, and communication with customers, carriers, SSLs, customs house brokers, and upper management
- Negotiate and dispute with SSLs, drayage companies, rail companies, and customers on operational issues and payment subjects
- Analyze data to find pending issues in terms of seamless movement and share with related parties to resolve them
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or a related field
- Bilingual in English and Korean (Excellent written and verbal communication skills required)
- Experience with International Shipping Logistics Cost Analysis and understanding of logistics costs incurred in international air/sea transportation
- Leadership experience in managing a group of team members and establishing transport plans to optimize loading rate, transport time, and logistics cost
