Legal Contracts Specialist

Job Summary:

This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, as well as providing advisory services on contract processes. The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of contract and commercial law, experience in contract drafting/review, and excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting & Reviewing: Prepare and review various contracts, including vendor, service, NDA, employment, and other types, to ensure precision and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Negotiation & Risk Management: Negotiate contract terms to protect the company's interests and mitigate potential risks.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date on legal changes and ensure adherence to common law, English law, and relevant frameworks.
  • Process Improvement: Establish review systems, create standard operating procedures, and maintain contract repositories.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel to meet operational needs.
  • Advisory & Training: Provide legal advice and conduct training on contract processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: LLB or equivalent; professional legal qualification preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in contract drafting/review; 2+ years in a senior legal role in multinational or tech industries.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of contract and commercial law; familiarity with data privacy, employment laws, and IT regulations; proficiency in contract management software and MS Office; exceptional attention to detail, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate:

A collaborative and proactive individual with a strong understanding of contract law and technology-related agreements is desired. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the tech industry and a commitment to continuous learning.

Work Environment:

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position within the legal department. The job function is legal, and the industry is IT services and IT consulting.
