Description
  • Design and develop scalable, production-grade systems while guiding senior engineers through complex challenges.
Key Responsibilities
  • Handle the most difficult tasks directly and guide senior engineers with the solution and assistance.
  • Go-to expert for solving team issues should they arise.
  • Design, document, and implement core solution-based components to be used by the software team.
  • Develop software features within the system, including a PIM-based processing system to run 2k+ jobs in parallel.
  • Architect solutions that can scale 2/5/10x+ and avoid unnecessary rewrites.
  • Lead teams of 5-10+ resources in production environments for 10+ years while contributing directly to the codebase.
  • Fluent in English with expert communication skills to translate complex technical issues into plain language.
  • Demonstrate business acumen to understand technical and business needs and architect solutions accordingly.
  • On-call production support to collaborate with DevOps, establish production coverage for outages, and coordinate debugging and resolution.
  • Work with engineering escalation tickets.
  • Direct code contributor for complex tasks and features to improve quality and throughput.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of production-level software development experience with focus on backend and frontend technologies, plus architecture design skills.
  • Expert in AWS with 10+ years of production experience.
  • DocumentDB or MongoDB equivalent.
  • SQL databases (any).
  • Cache systems (e.g., Redis).
  • Git.
  • Containers.
  • Linux / command shells.
  • Scripting.
  • Regular expressions.
