We are seeking a visionary educator to lead our academic team as an Optometry and Orthoptics Instructor.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students, ensuring academic excellence and promoting a culture of innovation and critical thinking.

  • Develop and implement engaging course materials, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations, in accordance with faculty workload policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver experiential learning opportunities, fostering student engagement and participation.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, providing guidance and support to ensure a supportive and enriching experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to departmental and university committees, participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess courses, developing and implementing effective evaluation methods.
  • Develop and refine teaching skills, staying up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Mentor students, providing guidance and support to ensure academic success.
  • Participate in research initiatives, contributing to publications and disseminating research findings.

Requirements
