Senior Reservoir Engineer

This role involves strategic reservoir management, ensuring maximum hydrocarbon recovery. The Senior Reservoir Engineer will oversee material balance calculations for oil and gas reservoirs using MBAL software.

  • Analyzing pressure transient tests utilizing industry-leading software to identify optimization opportunities in reservoir performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reservoir Management: Monitor and analyze reservoir and well performance to optimize hydrocarbon recovery throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Well Testing: Provide support in analyzing pressure transient tests using industry-leading software.
  • Well Hydraulics: Optimize production using PIPESIM software.
  • Production & Data Management: Perform production surveillance and analysis for operating and non-operating fields.
  • Log Interpretation: Identify favorable hydrocarbon zones for perforation and re-perforations using open-hole and cased-hole logs.
  • HSEQ: Work primarily in an office environment and comply with health and safety policies.
  • Field Exposure: Witness onsite data acquisitions like DST, PSP/PLT, BHP survey, and surface well testing.
  • Financial: Support future operation planning and resource assessment for carrying out development plans.
  • Human Resources: Comply with HR policies outlined in the OPI HR Manual.

A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from a reputable university with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience is required. A master's degree from abroad is preferred. Multi-disciplinary experience in reservoir engineering, including reserves evaluation, reservoir modeling, well testing data acquisition and analysis, rig and rig-less operations, well performance monitoring, production forecasting, and planning is necessary.
