Job Title: Chief Reservoir Modeling Expert

A forward-thinking organization seeks an experienced and skilled reservoir simulation engineer to join its team.

Candidates with overseas working experience are preferred, as they will be able to leverage their expertise in international settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Static Model Quality Control: Ensure that static models meet the required standards by implementing quality control measures.
  • Fluid Characterization: Perform fluid characterization using an equation-of-state and incorporate it into simulation models.
  • Special Core Analysis Interpretation: Interpret special core analysis data and incorporate it into simulation models.
  • Reservoir Simulation Modeling: Develop and build robust reservoir simulation models from static models to characterize and describe oil, gas, and gas condensate reservoirs.
  • History Matching: Match the model with available historical field data to ensure accuracy.
  • Field Development Planning: Use reservoir simulation models to optimize field development plans, including compressions for gas fields, reservoir performance, and estimate reserves based on different recovery schemes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Geology and Geophysics team to ensure consistency in static reservoir model building and with the Operations team to plan, execute, and monitor DST's, transient tests, PLT, BHP surveys etc.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in petroleum engineering with a focus on reservoir simulation and a minimum of 15 years of working experience. Candidates with experience in utilizing petroleum engineering software pertaining to well test analysis, material balance, DCA, production logging, nodal analysis, economic analysis etc., will be highly regarded.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering with specialization in reservoir simulation is required. The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment is essential.

Experience: A minimum of 15 years of working experience in reservoir simulation is necessary. Experience working in international settings is highly valued.
