Food Safety and Quality Assurance Lead

This key leadership role is responsible for driving quality assurance and food safety excellence within a leading food industry company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage a team to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor raw materials, in-process, and finished products to guarantee adherence to specifications and food safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain robust food safety management systems, including HACCP and ISO 22000.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, inspections, and collaborate with external auditors to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop, update, and enforce quality assurance policies, SOPs, and documentation.
  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely laboratory testing, sampling, and reporting.
Qualification Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Food Technology.
Required Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
  • Proficiency in laboratory testing methods, food chemistry, and microbiological analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
