Software Engineer

This role involves providing timely technical support to HSBC Fusion users by resolving IT-related incidents and requests through troubleshooting, diagnosis, and problem resolution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and communicate technical fixes in a way that is understandable to users and stakeholders.
  • System Domain Knowledge: Broaden your system domain knowledge across the Fusion estate to provide guidance on the usage and operation of the Oracle Fusion Platform.
  • Incident Resolution: Assist in incident resolution of IT system issues, ensuring prompt attention and adherence to service levels.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including business team stakeholders, Project Fusion stakeholders, wider POD teams, ERP Strategy, and Support Teams. Your primary goal is to effectively communicate relevant information, products, and services to Service Desk team leads throughout the lifecycle of a service-impacting incident.

You must take ownership and prioritize customer satisfaction in resolving issues. Building strong relationships within and across teams is essential to enhance service delivery, meet bank objectives, and maintain a high-performance culture within the IT service desk.

As a software engineer, you will engage in collaboration—seek feedback, listen, and use mistakes, failures, and successes as data for future development. Accept personal responsibility and encourage others to complete tasks on time and to high standards.
