Job Title: Pipe Installation and Welding Quality Control Specialist

This is a critical role for ensuring the quality of pipe installation and welding activities on board and in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure compliance with QMS standards and procedures.
  2. Monitor and report any issues or delays to the supervisor promptly.
  3. Perform continuous in-process inspections to minimize or eliminate rework.
  4. Closely monitor fabrication activities to avoid rework in fit-up/welding.
  5. Collaborate with the supervisor to prepare inspection and test procedures for assigned projects.
  6. Accept, reject, or suggest improvements in case of failures on jobs.
  7. Foster a culture of continual improvement within the department.
  8. Request non-destructive testing as per the ITP of the project or vessel.
  9. Motivate productive and safe performance of workers.
  10. Ensure all HSE and quality aspects are met.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control and NDT inspections, with experience in the shipyard, oil & gas industry, or petrochemical industry.

A minimum of 2 years' relevant working experience in quality control/NDT inspections of pipe and pipe welds is required.

Requirements:
  • Qualified CSWIP 3.1 Inspector.
  • Diploma or NCVT/ITC in pipe fabrication.
  • Experience in quality control/NDT inspections of pipe and pipe welds.
