Fixed Assets Management Role

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to handle the end-to-end processes of Fixed Assets management. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and recording all transactions related to tangible and intangible assets, including accounting and reporting, tracking existing assets, and ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of Fixed Assets in Oracle Financial, including daily transactions and reporting activities.
  • Recording routine and non-routine capitalization transactions of Fixed Assets, including depreciation calculations and asset disposals.
  • Running and completing the depreciation process for all company assets, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  • Maintaining a schedule of Capital Work in Progress, including accruals and advances, and performing ageing analysis to identify long outstanding balances and exposure to credit-risk vendors.
  • Performing impairment testing and remaining vigilant for internal and external indicators as prescribed in the IFRS.
  • Independently handling daily and closing activities related to Fixed Assets and its reporting, including preparation of financial reports and variance analysis.
  • Acquiring a sound business understanding of the relevant fixed assets domain, including knowledge of relevant International Accounting Standards.
  • Identifying and supporting the implementation of end-to-end process improvement initiatives, including automation and optimization of workflows.
  • Acting as a key contact person for resolution of queries from finance and non-finance departments, including support for finance teams and stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in a similar role, including experience in Telecom Industry and Fixed Asset management.
  • Oracle Financials experience, preferably with Fixed Assets Module.
  • MS Office skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant International Accounting Standards and financial regulations.
  • Experience in presenting financial results, variance analysis, and other financial reports.
  • Understanding of fixed assets recording and closing processes.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with finance and non-finance departments. They will also demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop creative solutions.
