Senior Manager, Performance

About the Opportunity

  • Our senior manager will lead business performance analysis to uncover key insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • They will drive the OKR (Objectives & Key Results) process for the country—setting, cascading, and tracking progress to ensure strategic focus and accountability across functions.
  • Collaboration with Business and Functional Heads is required to review performance, gather core insights, and co-create solutions that improve outcomes.
  • Key initiatives must be tracked and reported on to ensure alignment with organizational goals and timely delivery.
  • The senior manager will manage and support high-priority, sensitive matters for the MD office, ensuring discretion, clarity, and strategic alignment in all communications.
  • Leading the data management function for the local market and liaising with the regional business analytics team for effective data support and management of BI for the country are also responsibilities.
  • As the core data lead for the country, they will identify gaps for performance visibility for different functions and their respective analytics teams.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst - experience within a strategic/central function is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred) in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Management Science is required.
  • Proven expertise in SQL and experience designing scalable, efficient queries to support data-driven decision-making is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills in managing the entire data analysis lifecycle, including problem formulation, data auditing, rigorous analysis, interpretation, actionable recommendations, and stakeholder-ready presentations are necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear insights and effectively communicate to technical and non-technical audiences are crucial.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling and creative business cases supported by data - deep understanding of statistical (mathematical) modelling is vital.
  • Understanding of creating data visualization reports using Tableau, Looker Studio or similar modern BI Tools is highly desirable.
  • A track record of mentoring and developing analytical teams, fostering innovation, and aligning team outputs with organizational objectives is preferred.
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms, such as BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Python for reproducible data analysis and familiarity with advanced analytics workflows is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems, such as Git, to enable collaborative development and reproducibility is necessary.
  • Experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining data pipelines using tools such as Airflow, is highly desirable.
