Key Functions

The Assistant Merchandiser will perform various key functions in support of senior merchandisers.

Key Functions:

  1. Support Senior Merchandisers: Assist senior merchandisers in everyday product merchandising activities.
  2. Invoice and Shipment Processing: Process and monitor invoices and shipments accurately.
  3. Stock Information Communication: Communicate stock release, stock return, and new arrivals information to the warehouse and store teams.
  4. Inventory Forecasting and Management: Forecast order quantities based on stock levels and sales data, and maintain accurate records of stock levels and movements.
  5. Report Generation: Generate reports related to sales, profits, and new merchandising concepts.
  6. Pricing and Merchandising Strategy Development: Develop pricing and merchandising strategies to meet sales targets.
  7. Merchandising Calendar Management: Manage the merchandising calendar to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  8. Sample Preparation and Testing: Prepare samples and conduct sample testing and reporting.
  9. Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with sales coordinators to identify new opportunities and areas for improvement.
  10. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve merchandising, purchase order, and production issues promptly.
  11. Seasonal Product Development: Work closely with the merchandiser to develop seasonal products.
