Job Summary

A software developer responsible for writing server-side web application logic is required. They usually develop back-end components, connect the application with other web services, and support front-end developers by integrating their work with the application. They are also often required to develop and integrate plugins for certain popular frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze business requirements to understand project goals.
  2. Estimate assigned tasks to ensure timely completion.
  3. Write code and unit tests to ensure quality and functionality.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project objectives.
  5. Tune code for enhanced security and performance.
  6. Maintain systems by fixing any existing issues.
  7. Update issue tracking software.
  8. Provide status updates to stakeholders.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients.
  10. Control versions of your code.
  11. Research new technologies to stay up-to-date.
  12. Lead a team of software engineers.
  13. Mentor team members through training and guidance.
  14. Evaluate candidates for open positions.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Four (4) years of related experience in a professional industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of core programming languages, MVC frameworks, and Yii.
  4. Strong knowledge of WordPress.
  5. Familiarity with JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX.
  6. Knowledge and experience in writing backend components and Restful APIs.
  7. Understanding of security standards and compliance.
  8. Experience with different relational and schemaless databases such as MySQL.
  9. Ability to create database structures for required functionality.
  10. Experience with writing unit tests and ensuring test coverage.
  11. Knowledge of collaboration tools like GitHub and JIRA.
