Health Sector Partnership Officer Role

This is a senior-level role in partnerships that involves working with stakeholders to develop health funding opportunities and partnerships. The successful candidate will have experience in proposal writing, resource mobilization, and partnership management.

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Health Sector Partnership Officer to join our team. The role involves providing on-call technical advice and hands-on support to our Partnerships & Programme Development Section and relevant project teams. This includes mapping and prioritizing health-funding opportunities, developing concept notes and proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and strengthening pipeline management and knowledge sharing.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Public Health, Health, International Development or a related field, with at least two years of progressively responsible experience in health-sector proposal writing, resource mobilization or partnership management. They should also have a demonstrated track record of successful health-grant submissions and existing networks with major global health donors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Map and prioritize health-funding opportunities, analyzing global and regional donor landscapes and creating ranked long-lists and shortlists of mechanisms aligned with Pakistan's health strategies.
  • Develop comprehensive concept notes and proposals, inclusive of inputs and agreement of stakeholders based on sectoral priorities.
  • Cultivate donor relationships and stakeholder engagement, arranging meetings, preparing briefs, and submitting reports.
  • Strengthen pipeline management and knowledge sharing, contributing to the funding-pipeline tracker, documenting lessons learned, and updating internal proposal toolkits and SOPs.

  • Sectoral donor-mapping report and engagement plan.
  • Three agreed-upon concept notes and project proposals.
  • Identification and engagement of two funding sources in the health sector.
  • Consolidated lessons-learned and hand-over report.
