Technical Sales Representative Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to fill this key role. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in cybersecurity, combined with excellent communication and sales skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads for SOC solutions through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities. They will conduct thorough needs assessments and technical evaluations of prospective clients to understand their cybersecurity requirements and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify leads for SOC solutions.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments and technical evaluations of prospective clients.
  • Educate clients on the features, capabilities, and benefits of our SOC solutions, tailored to their specific needs and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to showcase the value proposition of our SOC services.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team, SOC engineers, and other stakeholders to develop customized solutions and proposals that meet client needs.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closure, including contract negotiation, pricing discussions, and contract finalization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in the cybersecurity and SOC space.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives as outlined by the company's sales management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably in the cybersecurity or IT services industry.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, SOC operations, and security technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and a sense of urgency to meet sales targets.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a SOC environment or familiarity with SOC operations.
  • Technical certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for managing sales pipelines and activities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, etc.
